Cost Of Living

I am really feeling the pinch now.

Everything seems to went up - vege, meat, rice, even household items... Gosh **** How to survive la like this ?

Gaji bila mo naik ?????? Bonus bila mo dapat ????????

How To Give Thanks For A Meal ?

A family was having some people to dinner.

At the table, the mother turned to her six-year-old daughter and said, "Dear, would you like to say the blessing?"

"I wouldn't know what to say, " replied the little girl, shyly.

"Just say what you hear Mommy say, sweetie, " the woman said.

Her daughter took a deep breath, bowed her head, and solemnly said,

"Dear Lord, why the hell did I invite all these people to dinner!"

Lending A Helping Hand

Little Mary Margaret usually slept through the class.

One day her teacher, a Nun, called on her while she was sleeping.

"Tell me Mary Margaret, who created the universe?"

When Mary Margaret didn't stir, little Johnny who was her friend sitting behind her, took his pencil and jabbed her in the rear.

"God Almighty!" shouted Mary Margaret.

The Nun said, "Very good" and continued teaching her class.

A little later the Nun asked Mary again, "Who is our Lord and Savior?"

But Mary didn't stir from her slumber.

Once again, Johnny came to her rescue and stuck Mary Margaret in the butt.

"Jesus Christ!!!" shouted Mary.

And the Nun once again said, "Very good," and little while later, Mary fell back asleep.

The Nun came back again for a third question...

"What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?"

Again, Johnny came to the rescue.

This time Mary Margaret jumped up and shouted:

"If you stick that thing in me one more time, I'll break it in half!"

The nun fainted.

Wonderful Gift

Every now and then, I have people coming up to me and asking me - "When are you guys planning to have baby ? " Even our own priest came up to me last week and asked me.

Well, I would now like to officially announced that Mr and Mrs Egbert Adolf Naintin is PREGNANT for 8W 5D already !!!!

Hehehe ... Surprise !!!

We went to see our 1st gynae doctor last week, saw the ultrascan and the baby is developing fine. Already have heart beat and the head is noticable. Actually I didnt expect it to be already 2 months old. I must have forgotten or miscalculated my last period but I was so sure my last period was in April. Therefore you can imagine my surprise when the doctor told me it is already 8W 1D old. He further asked me not to dwell on my missing period but rather believe in the computer.

What can I say - This is a wonderful GIFT from God. And I am slowly savouring the feel of becoming a mummy... Ummmm, this definately call for a celebration.

To all Sabahans - wishing you Kotobian Do Tadau Tagazo Kaamatan ....

Aramai tii !!!!! :)

Monaco GP

This week doesn't seem to be a good week for Ferrari. Though they grapped P1 and P2 during the qualifying, only Felipe Massa managed to bring home some points - 6 points actually. Lewis Hamilton won the race ahead of BMW Robert Kubica.

Now, the Drivers standing shows that it is Lewis leading the race now. Kimi has fallen to 2nd place and Felipe 3rd consecutively.

Why oh why ??????

I hope they will bounce back in the next GP.

Congratulations to the newlyweds - Angie and Ron.

They looked splendid on Sat night. Me and Egbert only managed to attend the dinner at Federal Hotel. Food was superb, hosts were wonderful, bride and groom were amazing. Only setback was we were seated at Table 1, and our view was blocked by this pillar. Suggestion from Egbert - can civil engineers design a column / pillar transparent ? ;)

Seated together with us was Che Ros, Harry Justin @ Awie @ Bugau, Aleng (not me, k...), Fabian and Harold. Its good to meet up with everyone again. Our table must be the loudest.. Shy lor..

Too bad doesn't have any pics to show to everyone. Hubby tak tau guna camera N73. Keciannn... Anyway, congratulations once again to Angie and Ron. May your wedding be a happy and lasting union forever.

I Got A New Boss....

Yup, since my ex-boss resigned on 27 March, we are pretty much left alone. Just like a ship without a captain.

Now, we have a new boss - Maszlan Ismail (originally from ATSB). My ex-boss was also from ATSB. You must be wondering why ATSB, well, coz our agency is sooooo speacialized that we need someone of the same background to helm the ship.

I have heard stories about him a lot, not to mention he was the least favourite in my ex-boss's view. But I shall refrain myself from talking about it here. After all, I need to give him some time before I say anything.

Let see how he adapt to here. Dun forget we still have ex-boss' konco-konco around.

Till then - gambate gambate !!!!

Another Win By Ferrari

Turkish Delight - Massa won the Grand Prix in Turki from pole position. Second place was Lewis Hamilton, followed by Kimi in third.
That means, in Drivers standing, Massa jumped to 2nd place, with 28 points and Lewis in 3rd place, also 28 points. Constructors championship saw Ferrari add another 16 points to their bag.
Way to go Ferrari !

MAS - Flight Delay

Went back to Sabah last Thursday and came back last night... What a tiring journey. On Thursday, our flight at 1410 was cancelled and changed to 1500. Then, when we board the plane at 1500, there were some problem and the plane couldn't take off. Disembarked from the plane at 1600 and wait for the next plane at 1700. Luckily they gave us meal voucher to redeem at either Burger King or Asian Delights. So, we choosed Burger King. The queue was so long that by the time we got our meal, it is time for boarding, again !

What to do... We took our burger and fries to the plane. By the time we finish, we were so full that we can hardly take another bite of MAS food. And our trip was futher disturbed by these bunch of tourists, who were making so much noice on the plane. Like they have never been on a plane before..

Finally landed in KKIA at 2000. What a tiring journey. But at least I got one whole Fri to rest. Sat is my first journey to Kota Belud (KB). Why ? Coz Lora and Itol is celebrating their wedding there. I must say KB has a very nice view - full of paddy fields, with Mount Kinabalu at the back of the scenary. It is indeed charming.

Here are some of Itol and Lora's wedding photos :

My New Dior Set

Hehehehe... I finally bought this makeup set by Dior. I found this at the KLIA airport since it is not available at any shopping complex. Nice ... I loveeeeee it .....

Church To Seek Judicial Review

If anyone of us has been following the story in Herald, or heard about it mentioned in any homilies, we should now know that the High Court has granted the Church leave to seek Judicial Review over Government's decision to forbid the usage of word 'Allah' in Herald's publication.

Now, Fr. Lawrence has been saying this for a long time, ever since before i got married. I admired the PAS assemblyman who came to meet up with the parishioners of Church of Divine Mercy in Shah Alam and he personally said that the word 'Allah' originated way before Islam religion came abroad. And it is a word in Malay that translate to God.

I am not trying to stir up some religion issues here. I respect other religion - their ways and beliefs. If that is true in history, than I don't see why (my personal point of view) the word 'Allah' cannot be used for Christians as well as it symbolizes God The Almighty.

God has His own ways of doing things. 'Do Unto Others As You Would Like Others To Do Unto You' will always be my motto of life.

Tun Dr Mahathir's Blog

My favourite PM of all - Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed. He has turned to blogging now and his blog is http://www.chedet.com/. I think I will be having lots of fun reading his articles.

This Is Odd...

I know that the Parlimentary session is going on now. In fact, it just started on Wednesday. Why is the PM going for Umrah now ? I thought last time he mentioned that it will be a full attendance from Barisan Nasional ?

Odd, odd, real odd case.

Paper Writing

Yup, that is what I am planning to do now - paper writing. Why ? That is because the government recently came up with this rule that all research officers need to produce some journal papers / articles / etc... to be deem eligible for promotion. What am I gonna write ? I know, I will write on the systems that we have developed. I hope it is acceptable, coz after all, that is my job scope - to develop systems. :)

Gambate, gambate ...

Free At Last

I have been preparing for the PTK (Penilaian Tahap Kompetensi) exam for the past few weeks. Exam was on 30 April (that was last Wed) and phewww... What a relief now that it is over.

The day started off well. I left the house rather early since me and my colleagues have made a pack - to travel in office's car, driven by Sarif. So, I had to be there by 7.30am. No problem at all. Arrived punctually and we set off.

At Sungai Emas, that was where the drama begans. 2 lines were pack with cars, no movement at all on the road and all of us were wondering what had happen in front there. We saw ambulance going there, and a police on a motor cycle heading there as well. We were stationed at the very same spot for like 1/2 hour. And the clock shows that it is 8.00am. Our exam due to start in another 1 hour. And we were like only 5km from office! Imagine that!

Sarif then did the stunt of the day - he drove on the opposite lane, bypassing numerous cars and lorries and he did that several times until we went passed the stalled lorry that causes the havoc of the day. At one time, we were almost knock by the incoming car. We were all like"Oh my god. oh no ... "

Finally, we reached HQ. What normally take us 30-40 minutes of journey, it was 90 minutes that day - just because of a stalled lorry. Now I began to wonder where did the ambulance go ?

Ok, finally we sat for the exam. The minute I saw the questions, I was like - "Gosh, this is difficult." I tried my very best and all I hope now is I will pass with Aras 3 (at least)... I am really hoping for the best, I dun wanna re-sit the paper and go through the entire nightmare again.

Please God, please have mercy on me ....
