California, US

**Updated**

Ok, i just came back from shopping. And I spent more money on buying shirts and pants for Daniel, wallet for Dad and Bro, Levis belt for syg and Levis jeans for me... Huhuhuhu....

**Previous**

I am now at El Segundo, California, US.

Weather here is nice - sunny and cold. Interesting huh...
Did a lot of shopping, in fact, over the limit. Things here are cheap, compared to Malaysia.

Can't help myself... Hehehehhe...
Let see what I bought:

  1. Levis Jeans (2 pairs for $29.99 per pair);
  2. PS3;
  3. 3 PS3 games for the price of 2 ($19.99 for one);
  4. 3 Hollywood t-shirts;
  5. Fridge magnet;
  6. 2 GAP toddlers t-shirt;
  7. 1 GAP toddlers pants;
  8. 1 CK One ($35.00);
  9. 1 CK Be ($35.00);

Not to mention some are spent on food and tips... Gosh, paying tips itself, I think I spent about $10 already.

And I am going to ROSS later some more. I guess its gonna burn my pocket some more... Oh gosh...

Well, I don't get the chance to go US every now and then. So, yeah, why not ? Why not be prudent on spending huh ? Can't help myself. Oh gosh, I am rambling here. I need to take control of myself. Luckily, I haven't been speding much for the last 3 months. Is that suppose to be words of consolation ? I guess so...

Okie guys... Off to ROSS ... And more shopping .... :( or is it :) ?

Something For Us To Ponder ...

A saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?'

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.'

'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.

Finally he explained,

'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'

Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'

The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'

“Speak less to the people u like the most.If they don’t understand ur silence they can never understand your words."

Still Awaiting My Passport and Ticket

I will be going off to Beijing on Mon, ETD 0010.

I am still waiting for the Travel Agent to send my passport and ticket. They said tonight they will send it to my house.

Still comtemplating whether to ask my brother to fetch me to airport or take a cab on my own.
Daniel will be staying over at his po-po's place.
Hope he will be alright. I am sure he will be as my mum is taking care of him.
Just afraid that he misses me and wondering why mummy didn't pick him up at night.

Won't be doing much sight-seeing at Beijing coz I have been to the tourists area. Furthermore, need to pay on my own this time, dun wan la...
Better save the money. After all, I am spending quite a lot this time for 2 trips back-to-back.

Sipping Vodka At The Pulpit

Lets have a good laugh, and relax...

A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak.
After mass he asked the monsignor how he had done.
The monsignor replied, 'When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip.'

So next Sunday he took the monsignor's advice. At the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink. He proceeded to talk up a storm.

Upon his return to his office after the mass, he found the following note on the door:

1) Sip the vodka, don't gulp.
2) There are 10 commandments, not 12..
3) There are 12 disciples, not 10.
4) Jesus was consecrated, not constipated.
5) Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his ass.
6) We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C.
7) The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior and the spook.
8) David slew Goliath; he did not kick the shit out of him.
9) When David was hit by a rock and was knocked off his donkey, don't say he was stoned off his ass.
10) We do not refer to the cross as the 'Big T.'
11) When Jesus broke the bread at the last supper he said, 'Take this and eat it for this is my body.' He did not say 'Eat me.'
12) The Virgin Mary is not called 'Mary with the Cherry.'
13) The recommended grace before a meal is not: Rub-A-Dub-Dub thanks for the grub, Yeah God.
14) Next Sunday there will be a taffy pulling contest at St. Peter's not a peter pulling contest at St. Taffy's.

'Judge Not For Ye Shall Be Judged'

That was the homily given by Fr Michael yesterday when we had our BEC mass at Tony and Sandra's house.

How true it is and yet how very often we fail to follow God's teachings ?
How many times I have judged others ?
How many times I have spoken ill about others ?
It seems so simple, yet it is so hard.
That's why Jesus is the Son of God, perfect in everyway.
We are often called to live as He had lived, to love as He had loved. Did we do that ?

Its time for confession. God knows how long I have not receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Sleep Deprived

I am so sleepy...

Thanks to Air Asia who delay its flight from Langkawi last night, not once but TWICE !
So, instead of arriving to LCCT at 2340, it arrives at 0205.
And my little brother didn't even give me a call saying that is has been delayed again 2nd time.
he said he sent me a message, but I didn't receive. The least you could do is to ring me up, right !
That is the least courtesy I expect from my own bro !

I reached LCCT at 0105 and I had to wait an hour, wondering where the hell is the stupid plane.
And his phone was off.
I was in such a foul mood yesterday, and today, I am just plain exhausted.

Thanks to Air Asia again for the stupid delay.

Cows' Milk Allergy

Though I have heard about it for awhile, but to really see that it is happening to Daniel is a brand new experience for me.

I have been to 3 paeditrician at 3 different clinics. The 1st one gave me Atarax to suppress the histamine that causes rashes on the body but couldnt find out the cause or the allergen.

The 2nd doc asked me to avoid food like berries, legumes, fish, white egg, egg yolk, seafood and nuts as these food can cause skin allergy on babies. She further gave me Zytrex to suppress the histamine, as well as changing body bath to a non-soap type. Sad to say, Daniel's rashes never went off at all. But his rashes were more like dots of red on the body.

It was until we finished the medicine and decided to see for a day or two his condition without medicine, then only the real prob came up. 1st day without medicine, his body started developing red patches. By second day, we bought a new type of milk, same brand that he took when he was 1 month old but that didn't help. His fae started to swell a bit and by night time, he started to develop high fever and both his eyes are swollen. Not to mention he was scratching his face coz it was so itchy. Brought him to the 24 hours clinic (coz it was midnight), doc gave him medicine to relieve fever and itchiness temporarily.

By morn, fever was still high and on/off. And that was on Mon, 2nd day of Raya. So I brought him to SMC to see his paeditrician. And while on the way, I tried to recall when the rashes really started. By the time I reached, I made a conclusion on my own - it was due to the cow's milk.

When his doc came by, I related to him what had happened, how many docs I have seen, what medicine Daniel had taken, etc... I also told him about my suspicion on cow's milk. The doc then asked me to try switching to soy milk and see what happen. Atarax and Zytrex is only temp solution as we still need to find out what causes the allergy.

Now, it has been 4 days without the medicine, adn Daniel no longer develop those kind of big red patches. He may still occasionally have red dots here and there, but I firmly believe we have finally found the root cause of his skin allergy - Cows' Milk Allergy.

As I am still breastfeeding him, food which contain milk are stuff I need to avoid for now. Maybe its time to think of stopping to breastfeed him. But I still loves to breastfeed him, so I am in a dilemma at the moment. Let just see after my trip from US.

PS3 Slim

This is what I am planning to buy at US later - PS 3 slim at the price of $299.99 or $299.00. Much cheaper compared to in Malaysia. Got Blu-Ray capability, WiFi, etc...

Um, muaahhhh... Can't wait to get my hand on this one... Hehehehe....

Happy Deepavali

I just wanna wish all my Indian friends and colleagues a very Happy and Blessed Deepavali.

Phase 3A at the National Space Centre

Yippie !!!!

The project will finally start next week, with site possession by the Main Contractor of the project.

After 3 years, it is finally hitting ground - and this is gonna be my second house, the AIT facility which will houses 6 test equipments to test a spacecraft.

Nancy Drew, CSI, Restaurant Empire II

Yeah, I just bought those games (actually I got it after Raya, when my colleague came back from Kelantan) and I just installed all the games, except for CSI. It has some error while installing, the famous CRC error. My friend said he will pass me the dvd he managed to copy from mine. Hopefully that is ok. Else, can I get a refund ?

Now I don't have to worry I will be bored at Beijing and El Segundo. I am sure there are things that will keep me occupied now. Hehehehehe...

Mafia Wars ...

I am addicted to this right now.

I need to learn to have some self control. I can avoid the game just as I have avoided Vampire and Fluff.

Why lar FB got so many games ?
