After years and years of putting it off, finally RazakSAT blasted off from the ground on 3.35 UTC, 14th July 2009 from Omelek Island at Kwajelein Atoll using Falcon-1 rocket.
Now I truly understand what it feels like tobe able to see the satellite successfully launched into its orbit. And it is a special orbit indeed - the first satellite to ever orbit from this position - Near Equatorial Orbit. So this means, it passes over Malaysia and other equatorial countries more frequently compared to a sun-synchronous orbit.
