HCD Approval Status - Update 2

I guess it is final.

I am not going to Czech Republic. I will only be going to Annapolis, US. Why ?
My boss said no, and that's final.
My feeling ? "Saya yang menurut perintah" is all I can say and feel.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. That means, all of us can attend my cousin's wedding in September.
Well, I can only hope, but the ultimate decision lies on my boss, and he has made his stand.

HCD Approval Status - Update

Finally got my approval yesterday.


And guess what - I was allowed to travel and present paper to both the conference. One is the 61st International Astronautical Congress which will be held at Czech Republic, and another conferece is the 26th Space Simulation Conference, which will be held at Annapolis, Maryland, US.

Ok, this certainly comes at a surprise, for I kinda expected that I'll have to forego the Czech Republice one.
So, once again, I thank my lucky star (which, in this case, I thank God) for giving me the opportunity.
Yahoo ! I get to present my paper after all !

But my colleague's application was rejected, because he travelled quite a number of times already for this year. So sad and frust for him.

ACRS 2009

30th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing

Will be held at Beijing this year. On our paper got selected for the oral presentation.
So I will be going to Beijing next month.

A bit tight on the schedule. 18 - 23 Oct in Beijing, 24 Oct - 1 Nov in US. I think I won't be staying long at Beijing this time. Will probably fly back to Malaysia after my presentation. Kesian Daniel kena kasi tinggal lama-lama oh.

Istanbul, Here I Come !!!!!

Yippie... Leaving for Istanbul next Tues night to present a paper in a conference - Recent Advances in Space Technologies 2009.

Had been browsing the net for tourists attraction in Istanbul. Can't wait to visit The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, The Grand Bazaar, Hippodrome, Yerebatan Saray, Topkapi and Istikal Caddesi (which is very near to our hotel and conference area - Taksim Square)

Wonder how Daniel will fare during my absence. Daddy of course cannot give him fresh 'milk milk'... Ummm, hope Egbert will be ok. I will be gone for 6 long days... Huhuhuhu, pooor little Daniel ....

International Conference on Recent Advances in Space Technology

Yippie... I will be going to Istanbul, Turkey this coming 9 - 15 June 2009 to present a paper entitled "Setting-Up The Assembly, Integration and Test Centre in Malaysia".

I managed to get my paper accepted for presentation in a IEEE jurnal. At least, I fulfilled some of my obligations as a research officer (The government wants all Q officers to present paper in any local/international conferences).

I am excited but how is Daniel gonna fare with mummy gone for almost a week ? I wish I bring Daniel along...
