Hurting Your Child In the Midst of Anger

I read in the newspaper yesterday of how a lady (I would not even call her 'Mother' as she is not fit to be one) threw her 2-year old son towards the wall just because she had a quarrel with the husband. My God, the kid is only 2 years old and was subjected to such cruelty.

What makes it even worse was the mother only brought the baby to the hospital a week later after the baby cry continuously. The doctor found out that the baby's left leg was broken, as well as several other bruises on the body.

This woman should be sentenced to jail for hurting the baby. Sometimes I really don't understand how can you hurt your own flesh and blood ?

Wasted 1 Hour at the Bank

I wanted to update all our CIMB passbook as well as ASB passbook at  the bank today. So, I went and collect my number for ASB counter at 10:39. The number given was 2018 and at that time, it has served up till 2005.

I waited and waited and waited.. At 11:45, then only my number was called. Upon at the counter, I was told that updating of passbook can only be done by the account holder. I had a rude shock. I asked when was this rule set in place. They told me in July it was enforced, not only to CIMB but to all other banks. This announcement was published in newspaper as well.

Well, how come I didn't read it in The Star ? And most banks, if not all, have online banking. How come this announcement was not published in their respective website as well ?

Geez...... I am super duper upset of wasting my time for nothing...

I do echo the voice of Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim. If there is any hiccup in the process, we have to find ways to rectify the problem. Otherwise, the outsiders will look at us and start laughing - we can't provide the help, so others chirp in and start helping but were condemned by these same group of people who could provide help in the first place. Even I looked at it as ridiculous. What's more from the point of outsiders.

Rasuah orang susah

This was another article that I read in Harian Metro today. Makes me even angrier. Makes me wonder whether these are those people who are trying their very best to create social disharmonious.

JAIS Barged In Into An Event Organized By The Christians

I am sure many of you all have heard about the recent news that some JAIS officers barged in into an dinner event organized by the Christians an NGOs, and attended by some Muslims (like some mafias or barbarians or what) because they said they have sources that the Christians are trying to convert those Muslims.

I duuno whether to laugh or cry when I read the news. Has Malaysia really became that bad where eating with one another was deemed trying to convert them ? Have we all lost our rationalization or even common understanding ?

We live in a multi-racial country. We can't be avoiding each other. Just because the dinner was organized by the Christian group, we do not stoop that low and try to convert people of other faith. Jesus never taught us like that.

If we were to reverse the situation and start saying that when we were invited to attend the Majlis Buka Puasa or some other event organized by the Muslims, are we saying that by attending those event, we are compelled to convert to their religion ? I am sure no sane human being would think that way. By why are those JAIS officers behaving like that ?

You may be the majority in this country, but once you start acting like that, every tiny bit of respect that the rest of us may have towards you will slowly disminish. How can we live as 1Malaysia if the very tolerence we used to enjoy with each other is slowly being ripped off ?

Headmistress A Racist

I am commenting on the recent news in The Star about a headmistress in SMK in Kulai Jaya uttered racist remarks.

I mean, I can't believe it. Here I thought the education system of Malaysia was suppose to instill the spirit of 1Malaysia. We are very fortunate of having a peaceful country - a country where different race and religion stay together peacefully.

I wonder why this headmistress utter such a remarks? I hope she will be sack for causing disharmony and disunity, especially in among the young generation, whom we rely to bring the country to the next step.

HCD Approval Status

Am still awaiting approval status of the long submitted HCD.
Da la lambat proses, now they are questioning me of being so active in submitting paper for conference. Since I went overseas last year 3 times, so this year they don't allow me to go so many times. Since there are two of my papers were reviewed for approval (mind you, those papers were already been accepted to be presented at the conference), they are asking me to choose only one.
The other one - "Ask your co-writer to go and present la" was their reply. I penat-penat tulis, senangnya you suruh orang lain untuk present kan ?

Sakitnya hati ku.

PTPTN: Step Up Your Service, Please !

Me and syg submitted the form Pengesahan Lumpsum on the 9th feb 2010. Thinking we had a week holiday for CNY, we will settle our loans then. It requires 7 workings days to furnish us with that letter, stating the final amount.

We waited and waited, no letter came. Decided to go straight to PTPTN office at Damansara after spoken to the officer at Call Centre. She says we can always go to the office and get the calculation on the spot. Sad to say, when we arrive, the entire unit is away fora so-called emergency meeting and the officer can't supply us the letter for full settlement. Asked us to wait for 7 working days at least.

A week of holiday went by. The following week, again made a call to the PTPTN Call Centre, and they have yet to process my application. What the hell were they doing there ? Was it so difficult to generate the final sum ? Fortunately, this lady helped me to pushed the Unit Lejar to provide the letter. And they can actually generate the letter in a day. Typical service of the public. When public push for the service after waiting for soooo damn long, then only they decide to give. Real stupid !

And the letter they gave us was dated 24th Feb 2010, and had the gall to ask us to pay by 28 Feb 2010.

Real dumb right ? Not to mentioned, 26, 27 and 28th Feb are public holidays. I think the brain is missing somewhere. Or they are computerized is it ? No need thinking, just generate only. If that is the case, what took them so bloody long ? If not computerized, then have the same courtesy to the customer who is willing to do full settlement - provide 7 workings days as well. As simple as that. But that also cannot do. When asked about it, the reply was, "Oh, puan boleh bayar seminggu selepas itu pun. Sistem kami boleh buat update." What kind of answer is that ? So contradicting and downright stupid !
Urgghh, I am still so pissed off with the service. I think PTPTN should treat the payers with more courteous, especially the ones who are willing to do full settlement and is requesting for as much information as possible.

Shouldn't we return things that doesn't belong to us?

Is this an act of defiant, not letting go of things that are no longer yours?

Increase of Toll Rates ???

I was elated when one of the toll on NPE was abolished - which means I dun have to pay additional RM 1.60 if I wanna go to KL.

Today, the Works Minister announced that there will be an increase of toll for 5 highways.

Wow, I mean, I felt that I am being cheated. First, you announced the goodies, and let the people be happy for few days, then you take away our happiness by your second announcement.

I dunno if this is a smart way to go. You readers decide yourself. I wonder if this will affect the popularity of the current government.....

Unreasonable ... And Conflicting Views

** Updated**

Harian Metro news this morning states that PAS sympathized with what happened to MB Elizabeth and hope that the culprit will be caught soon.

Now, I wonder, is the same person giving statement to 2 different paper ? How come the report is so different? Or is it the writer's fault?

** Previous **

I came across this article in the Utusan Malaysia today. And I got irked by what PAS had requested PKR to do. I mean, already MB Elizabeth is a victim of some irresponsible person, she is hurt and her job is in jeorpady and yet PAS have the guts to ask PKR to punish her.

I thought we should punish people who does wrong, not the other way wrong ? Why punish the victim ?

I find that people with politic on their mind, most of the time do not know what their talking. In this case, the PAS leaderwho made the statement seems to me, a very stupid statement.

Belajar saja tinggi-tinggi, tapi hampeh !

Uphold Our Rukun Negara

As Malaysians, we have be taught and memorize since young, our Rukun Negara.

Let us refresh back on that:

  1. Kepercayaan kepada Tuhan
  2. Kesetiaan kepada Raja dan Negara
  3. Keluhuran Pelembagaan
  4. Kedaulatan Undang-Undang
  5. Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan

If it is in China, a person who commits treason will be sentenced to death. Here, we are still very accomodating. But, it has to have some limits. A Ruler is just like our parents, who wants the best only for the children (in this case, the Rakyat).

Let us continue to uphold the sovereignity of our Rulers, not like some people who doesnt display respect to the Ruler as he should. Call himself MB/Wakil Rakyat but doesnt act like one.

Datukship - Is The Value Still There

Recently, Malacca state conferred Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka, which carries the title 'DATUK' to Shah Rukh Khan.

I wonder, what did Shah Rukh Khan ever contribute to Malacca, or even Malaysia ? As far as I know, there wasn't any contribution from that particular artist to us at all. So, why give him that award ?

Why not local artists like Sheila Majid, Azean Irdawarty, and many other producers who had made Malaysia famous in the eyes of the world be a worthy recipient of such awards?

Even lay people like me don't understand the logic behind this. No wonder our local artists felt cheated and betrayed. I emphatised with them. This is just what Karam Singh Walia will say - "Kera di hutan disusukan, anak di rumah dibiarkan."

Now, people no longer care if you are a Datuk or not. The value of being a Datuk is lost forever. Any Tom, Dick and Harry can be one now - so, what is so special about it anymore? It is no longer the contributions that enable one to be recognized.

Reasons To Be Detained Under ISA

Last Friday, 3 people were arrested under ISA. They are RPK, Teresa Kok and Sin Chew reporter, Tan. Tan had later been released.

I don't think I wanna speak about this on my blog. It is an insult to my intelligence hearing what our Home Mnister said about the arrest.

You can read it at the following bloggers' site - Rocky's Bru, Marina Mahathir, Nuraina A Samad, Maria A. Samad, Patrick Teoh and verify those statements at The Star Online.

It makes me sick knowing that the real culprits are only being reprimanded while those who are working for the sake of working are being detained.

Is there any hope for all of us ?

The Lord says - "Have faith in Me .... "

The World Is Upside Down Now...

What the f*** ? The world is certaily going upside down.

When we were small, we were taught by our parents NOT to blame others for something wrong that we did.

This fellow had the guts to placed the blame on others, and telling him to "Get Out Of Barisan". Wa, Barisan belongs to you, is it ? If that is the case, then of course you can call the shots - to allow who you want to be with you. Probably those same people who are insane, uneducated, who do not advocate peace and unity, who had nothing else better to do and call other Chinese as immigrants.

Some more had the guts to ask innocent people to apologize to him ... I just say "Go To Hell" to these kind of people, who are blinded by his own ego.

I love all the friends I have. My best friend is a Malay. I also have good friends who are Chinese, Kadazan, Indian, Iban .... Why do you want to disrupt the unity that your forefathers had struggled to build ? You truly don't deserve to be called a Malaysian, let alone an UMNO leader.

May the Lord be kind enough to open your heart and your mind and especially your eyes to see the surrounding. You living in Malaysia is by the grace of God, so be thankful and count your blessings.

Now I Am An Immigrant, Am I ?

Well, based on Bukit Bendera MP's recent remarks during the Permatang Pauh by-election, all Chinese are immigrants...

What the s**t is this guy talking ? I thought I am a Malaysian - my IC shows that I am one ... How come I am being labelled as an immigrant ?

Good thing was TPM apologized. Now, that is what I called a man who knows how to safe difficult situation, unlike this fellow who doesn't wanna say he is sorry and even planned to sue the reporter who reported this. This kind of people should not even be allowed to stay in this multiracial country.

What is becoming of Malaysia today ?

Two Chimps and A Blonde

Another story that someone sent to me - this one is just for laughters ....

A blonde lady motorist was about two hours from the Gold Coast when she was flagged down by a man whose truck had broken down.

The man walked up to the car and asked, 'Are you going to the Gold Coast?"

'Sure,' answered the blonde, 'do you need a lift ?'

'Not for me. I'll be spending the next three hours fixing my truck. My problem is I've got two chimpanzees in the back which have to be taken to the Gold Coast Zoo.They're a bit stressed already so I don't want to keep them on the road all day. Could you possibly take them to the zoo for me? I' ll give you $100 for your trouble..'

'I'd be happy to,' said the blonde.

So the two chimpanzees were ushered into the back seat of the blonde's car and carefully strapped into their seat belts. Off they went.

Five hours later, the truck driver was driving through the heart of the Gold Coast when suddenly he was horrified!!

There was the blonde walking down the street and holding hands with the two chimps, much to the amusement of a big crowd.

With a screech of brakes he pulled off the road and ran over to the blonde.

'What the heck are you doing here?' he demanded, 'I gave you $100 to take these chimpanzees to the zoo.'

'Yes, I know you did,' said the blonde,' but we had money left over --- so now we're going to SeaWorld.'

I Will Sue You For Giving Suggestions

Well, that seems to be the norm thing to do in the world today.

You get people suing other people because they simply dislike the suggestion made by that person. No, first, they start off with road demonstration - to demonstrate how much they dislike the suggestion. Next, they call for an apology over that suggestion. If one refuses to apologized, then they will sue the person.

Never had I attended any meeting that one person is suing another person just because they do not agree with the suggestion. A suggestion still remains a suggestion until it is accepted by the majority and is carried out. So, why are people making such a big fuss and some more want to demand apology or else, be prepared to receive a court letter.

I should have taken up a lawyer profession long time ago. If I could foresee the future, I am sure I will be filthy rich just handling these kind of cases - one suing another just because they don't agree with that suggestion.

What is becoming of the world today ?

The New Way Democracy

We have read in the paper that Tun Rafidah is passing the baton over to her deputy, Datuk Seri Shahrizat in the year 2009. Therefore, she had appealed to all Wanita members not to contest for the top two posts so that they can win unoppossed. This is to ensure the unity of the members remains strong.

Reason that I post this up was - I used to be active in societies where we have president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and so on and so forth. Never had anyone taught me before that the post of president can be passed over to the deputy unless the president decides to quit out of his/her personal reasons. That also does not mean that the deputy will be promoted automatically. What was the norm was the deputy will temporary hold the position until the next soonest election.

So, does this mean that there will be another election after Tun Rafidah quits ? It somehow wasnt projected that way in the paper. I could be mistaken. But if it is true on what was reported in the paper, then isn't it a mocking to democracy that we had 'upheld' all these times ? Why wanna contest when you decided to quit before the term is over ? Shouldn't the people elect who they want as their chief ?

Doesn't make any sense at all. Nothing ever does nowadays...

MRR Cracks Again ?

Yup, it seems that this is the 3rd time - which definately scares the hell out of the motorists who were passing by at that time.

70 million was spent to assess and repair - and yet it still cracks .... One does wonder why these things are still happening.

Though I would not like to think of bad things, but how many time do the government need to 'pay' to rectify the problem ? Oops, I forgot, it is still under warranty (or so claimed by the authorities) till the end of this year. What about next year ?

Will be repair works sustain over a period of 15 to 20 years ?

I dare not imagine what will happen - I can only hope that it does sustain so that tax payer's money will be well spent in other areas.
