KAGAPE '08

6th July 2008 - Pesta Kaamatan, Gawai dan Panen peringkat Keuskupan Agung Kuala Lumpur telah diadakan di St Anthony Church, Pudu.

This is the harvest festival celebrated by the people from Sabah, Sarawak and Indonesia - giving thanks to GOD for the fruitful harvest that they have received all year long.

It began with mass, celebrated by Archbishop Murphy Pakiam, Fr Jestus, Fr Valentine and 4 other priests (which I have forgotten their names). Mass was indeed wonderful with the beautiful choir and dance presentations by various people.

Then, we had our lunch (which is a major queue just to get the food) and finally we had the celebrations just after lunch. Our church (Gereja Katolik Fatima) was also one of the participants for the celebration where we presented a 'Drama Tari' (which is actually Sumazau dance with Togunggak instruments, guitars and choir)

All in all, we had a fun time at St Anthony and everyone went home tired by happy. I am sure it will be a non-forgtting moment for all of us as this is the first time that we actually play in front of a crowd (what's more for those who have just been baptized recently). God is truly awesome !

Misa Tadau Kaamatan om Hari Gawai

On the 1st June 2008, we had our 2nd Misa Kaamatan and Gawai at Gereja Katolik Fatima, Banting, Selangor. But this time it was more meaningful. We had full participation from our members, who had just recently "graduated" from RCIA class and thus became a full-fledged Catholics.

Looking back at last year, this year we did not organize any sport events for the kids. Lack of time, funding are our main issues, of course. But nevertheless, to see everyone together has been such a great feeling, so great that it even surpasses the feeling of tiredness.

Here are some of the pictures taken during fellowship after the mass.
