Why Banting ?
Soon, I accept that it is part of God's plan for me - to be a better person, to be a responsible person, to gain more knowledge. I realized that God is blessing me in His own special way. There were lots of graduates who could not find a work, but here I am, fresh out of university and I landed on a job that most people envy of me (till now)... A job that opens to world beyond the one I know, a job that opened me to know the universe and whats in there.
Today, a friend of mine asked that question again. When I was about to give him the answer, something struck me or my heart actually. Something that I have never thought about. I gave too much credit to myself. Everything was for me but God corrected me today. He said to me - "I placed you in Banting, so that you can be my instrument to serve my people there."
I don't know for sure if it is God who is speaking to me, but I like to think so. It really felt as though He is speaking to me.
Last year was a year full of challenge in serving Him at Banting, a year where I was hurt and bruised, where I decided to acknowledged my defeat, my limited capacity, energy and resigned from holding any position in the church. I retreated back to a world of my own, serving from the back, no longer fore front.
Now, as I have made peace with myself, I am ready once again to be Your Intrument, O Lord. Teach me Lord, not to carry all on my shoulder, but to let Your Wisdom be my guidance in everything that I do.
This is the prayer I would like to begin my year with. To acknowledge that I am ready to serve You, O Lord, with my heart and my mind.

Scars Of Life
His father, working in the yard, saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, he ran toward the water, yelling to his son as loudly as he could. Hearing his voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his father. It was too late. Just as he reached his father, the alligator reached him.
From the dock, the father grabbed his little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs.. That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two.. The alligator was much stronger than the father, but the father was much too passionate to let go.
A farmer happened to drive by, heard his screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the alligator. Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his father's fingernails dug into his flesh in his effort to hang on to the son he loved.
The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, 'But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too.. I have them because my Dad wouldn't let go.'
You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, but the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret. But, some wounds, my friend,
are because God has refused to let go. In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you..
The Scripture teaches that God loves us. You and I are a child of God. He wants to protect us and provide for us in every way. But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations, not knowing what lies ahead.. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril - and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins - and if we have the scars of His love on our arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not ever let us go.
Please pass this on to those you love.. God has blessed you, so that you can be a blessing to others. You just never know where a person is in his/her life and what they are going through. Never judge another person's scars, because you don't know how they got them. Also, it is so important that we are not selfish, to receive the blessings of these messages, without forwarding them to someone else. Right now, someone needs to know that God loves them, and you love them, too - enough to not let them go .
GOD BLESS YOU

**Previous**
I am now at El Segundo, California, US.
Weather here is nice - sunny and cold. Interesting huh...
Did a lot of shopping, in fact, over the limit. Things here are cheap, compared to Malaysia.
Can't help myself... Hehehehhe...
Let see what I bought:
- Levis Jeans (2 pairs for $29.99 per pair);
- PS3;
- 3 PS3 games for the price of 2 ($19.99 for one);
- 3 Hollywood t-shirts;
- Fridge magnet;
- 2 GAP toddlers t-shirt;
- 1 GAP toddlers pants;
- 1 CK One ($35.00);
- 1 CK Be ($35.00);
Not to mention some are spent on food and tips... Gosh, paying tips itself, I think I spent about $10 already.
And I am going to ROSS later some more. I guess its gonna burn my pocket some more... Oh gosh...
Well, I don't get the chance to go US every now and then. So, yeah, why not ? Why not be prudent on spending huh ? Can't help myself. Oh gosh, I am rambling here. I need to take control of myself. Luckily, I haven't been speding much for the last 3 months. Is that suppose to be words of consolation ? I guess so...
Okie guys... Off to ROSS ... And more shopping .... :( or is it :) ?
Something For Us To Ponder ...
Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.'
'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'
Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.
Finally he explained,
'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'
Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'
The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'
“Speak less to the people u like the most.If they don’t understand ur silence they can never understand your words."

Hope he will be alright. I am sure he will be as my mum is taking care of him.
Just afraid that he misses me and wondering why mummy didn't pick him up at night.

Sipping Vodka At The Pulpit
A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak.
After mass he asked the monsignor how he had done.
The monsignor replied, 'When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip.'
So next Sunday he took the monsignor's advice. At the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink. He proceeded to talk up a storm.
Upon his return to his office after the mass, he found the following note on the door:
1) Sip the vodka, don't gulp.
2) There are 10 commandments, not 12..
3) There are 12 disciples, not 10.
4) Jesus was consecrated, not constipated.
5) Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his ass.
6) We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C.
7) The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior and the spook.
8) David slew Goliath; he did not kick the shit out of him.
9) When David was hit by a rock and was knocked off his donkey, don't say he was stoned off his ass.
10) We do not refer to the cross as the 'Big T.'
11) When Jesus broke the bread at the last supper he said, 'Take this and eat it for this is my body.' He did not say 'Eat me.'
12) The Virgin Mary is not called 'Mary with the Cherry.'
13) The recommended grace before a meal is not: Rub-A-Dub-Dub thanks for the grub, Yeah God.
14) Next Sunday there will be a taffy pulling contest at St. Peter's not a peter pulling contest at St. Taffy's.
'Judge Not For Ye Shall Be Judged'
How true it is and yet how very often we fail to follow God's teachings ?
How many times I have judged others ?
How many times I have spoken ill about others ?
It seems so simple, yet it is so hard.
That's why Jesus is the Son of God, perfect in everyway.
We are often called to live as He had lived, to love as He had loved. Did we do that ?
Its time for confession. God knows how long I have not receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Sleep Deprived
Thanks to Air Asia who delay its flight from Langkawi last night, not once but TWICE !
So, instead of arriving to LCCT at 2340, it arrives at 0205.
And my little brother didn't even give me a call saying that is has been delayed again 2nd time.
he said he sent me a message, but I didn't receive. The least you could do is to ring me up, right !
That is the least courtesy I expect from my own bro !
I reached LCCT at 0105 and I had to wait an hour, wondering where the hell is the stupid plane.
And his phone was off.
I was in such a foul mood yesterday, and today, I am just plain exhausted.
Thanks to Air Asia again for the stupid delay.
