Petrol Price Down, Price for Goods ?

That is the consequences to be paid by us, the normal folks...

When the price of petrol was increase 70 cents earlier, ALL the price of goods increase. Example, Maggi Tom Yam used to be RM3.50, but since June, it is now RM 4.50. And mind you, though the price of petrol has gone down, I have yet to see the price of Maggi Tom Yam going down. And that is hypermarket's selling price.

Of course, nobody likes to lower down the prices once it has gone up.

Moral of the story: Don't ever make a sharp increase in the petrol price for it affects everything else. Now, even when you lower it down, it doesn't mean that the rest will follow. In the end, is the consumers who bear the cost.

Petrol Price Down By 15 Sen

That was the recent announcement by PM.

15 sen reduction - which means I still need to spend RM64 just to fill up my tank full. A reduction of RM6 from the previous price.

Now, not that I am complaining. I welcomed any move that eases our burden as daily consumers.

What amuses me was I thought, and read and re-affirm by the one speaking that new price for petrol will only be announced on the 31st Aug. He said he will not announce any earlier just to garner votes for the upcoming by-election. Fine, its your call, I believe.

Then, the very niext day - he announced in the paper that the petrol price will go down by 15 sen effective 22 Aug, 10 days earlier that what we are expecting. And reason gave for this was because to lower our burden.

Looks like a flip-flop to me. Sikijap 1, sikijap jadi 2. Macam biskut Chipsmore, "Now you see, now you don't."

What Is Happening With Malaysia Now ?

Never had I felt such a repulse nowadays while reading the daily news.

What is happening to the country now ? I felt so fed up (not to mentioned embarrased) with our political situation that I wished (sometimes) that I am staying elsewhere.

Just because someone said there is gonna be a rally somewhere, the entire town is subjected to road blocks here and there. Today, I heard on the radio that there is gonna be road blocks as well. Wonder if there is another planned rally today ....

What the ??????

I always thought that democracy is by the people, for the people.

It looks like our pockets are set to have bigger holes now .... And no one seems to be able to have any say at all. And I personally think that the recent debate has yet to provide any help to the citizens of the country.

No Credit Card at Petrol Station ?

**Updated Post:

Looks like Petronas is giving assuarance that vehicle owners can still use their credit cards to pay for petrol. What about Shell, Esso and other petrol kiosks ? Are you doind the same thing also ?

**Previous Post:

This is the latest situation in Malaysia.

Now, petrol kiosk owners are saying that unless Government increase their profit margins, they will not allowed usage of credit cards at the petrol station.

So, in the end, because of global price increase on oil, the consumers are the one ended suffering. Just imagine everytime we need to pump petrol, we need to pay cash. And if "hujung bulan" already, we should all switch to using bicycles to work. In fact, we should even start using it now so that we will have enough money to spend on rice, meat, vege, etc .... And it doesn't do any good to withdraw money from the ATM machines - we might be rob, if the robbers havent carted away the ATM machine first.

What is becoming of the world today ? Is it a mission to destroy human population ?

Frustrated

Damn the person who made the announcement yesterday evening. 78 cents of increase in the petrol is toooooooo much la.. Is he really that stupid ?

How do you think people like us live ? Every cent is accounted for, k. Not like you, everything also the Rakyat pay for you. Your house, your trip to Australia, your clothes, your allowences... Damn it..

You mentioned the subsidy will be channelled to food instead. I just like to see how you do that. Increase in petrol means increase in transportation fees. Increase in transportation means increase of price of goods. So how you gonna control ? Stupid man, never think the consequences. You think by giving us money annually can help to reduce our problem is it ?

This is definately the case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. It is unethical and socially unjust.

One does wonder, a country like us, who has petroleum resources, should not be facing such an increase in petrol. Yeah, it is still cheaper than our neighbouring country, but one does wonder - how much do we earn compared to our neighbour ?

What a frustrating morn to begin with !

Really dumb**s !
