Alson And Bidot's Wedding

First of all, congratulations to Alson and Bidot on their wedding 30.08.08. Me and Egbert flew back to KK on the 28.08.08 for their occasion.

And it was a great joy seeing the newly wedded couple so happy together, so in love with each other (just like us, kekekekeke) and seeing so many of our friends who attended the wedding as well.

Well... Congrats once again and cepat-cepat la ikut jejak saya ! Hehehehe...

Here are some of the snapshots taken ...

This shall be Alson's new family

King + Pat 's Wedding

~Part 4~

Let the party begins !

Wedding dinner was held at Sunway Club, PJ. The hall was actually a indoor badminton court converted and all the decoration was done by friends. From the balloons to the table setting to the registration counter to the bar, I would say this is what we called 'Tolong - Menolong Dalam Masyarakat Majmuk.'

Lets look at the pictures and see what a good job these great people has done !

Setting of the table - rose petals, engraved rocks, scented candles

The registration counters - to manage all the ang pows received

The wedding cake - Themed 'Butterfly'

Anthony busy sticking the guest lists and table numbers

A huge-sized banner pasted on the wall

The 3 stooges (L - R) - Henry the MC, Desmond the vocalist, Anthony the registration coordinator

Some of the guests seen arriving and signing on the guest book.

The band, led by the groom's bro - Christopher Khoo

Ellison busy ensuring everything goes according to plan

Arrival of King and Pat to kick start the night

And that's it folks ... Till the next wedding in August ! THE END !

~Part 3 ~

The next part is the marriage solemnization at St. Anthony Church, KL. Nothing much to write, so I'll just leave it for the pictures to explain everything ... :)

~Part 2 ~

Now, the 1st hurdle for the guys are, of course, 'Declaration of Love'. Now, different couples have different ways of doing it. Let see how King and the geng did it ...

Here comes the 'Chee Muis"

The letter 'I' - Raymond was holding it

"Yup, that's right. You guys have to wear the disposable underwear"

Okay, so far three of us can fit into it.

"Opps, one person is missing ! " Actually Ivan (in red) is at the far left. It should read - I LOVE PAT

There goes the 1st hurdle. 2nd hurdle is where we can actually see King giving all the heng thais a BIG KISS (as a thank you gesture for wearing the underwear) with a bright lipstick on his lips.

"Fabian, you're the best. Muaaaahhhhh"

"Anyone want another kiss ? Let me just 'refill' my lipstick. "

Finally, we are allowed to enter the house. That also have to give 'toll money' first to the 'Chee Muis'. Thought finally we get to meet the bride, but no, more is waiting for us inside. There are at least 4 more hurdles to go through. This is gonna be a longggggg morning.

3rd Hurdle is where both King and Al try to have smoother legs, and no, they are not allowed to use shaver but instead, the wax method ... hahahahaha .... It sure funny looking at them. The trick is to know where to put the wax patch so that it lessen the pain. Ladies, I am sure you know that. Guys will be wondering what the heck I meant by that. Wanna know ? Try it out yourself.

4th hurdle was where the guys was asked some questions about Pat (and mind you, those questions were extremely difficult). If they can't answer the question, then they need to be punish - by doing 1 Yogo pose. In the end, they couldnt answer a single question so they ended up doing Yogo instead.

5th hurdle was where the guys need to sing a song (chosen by the chee muis) and King has to mimic as a pole dancer. I salute Kingston ! He is THE MAN ! He just take everything they dished out to him. Thinking back, my syg was so much luckier. He has not these sort of hurdles to go through.

Last hurdle is the guys need to sing a song. Wait, not just any song, but a song in Hokkien language. And if you notice earlier, none of the heng thais are Chinese. Well, Kingston may be a Chinese but he is unable to speak any Chinese dialects at all. So, as usual, they have to invent a Hokkien song, which was not acceptable since it was not a love song in Hokkien. They pleaded to change to Tamil song and finally the girls relented. Wonder what was the meaning behind that Tamil song coz I had a feeling it is not a love song either. But who cares, bottom line is the door is finally opened and there the Bride is waiting.

King + Pat

To be continued ...

~Part 1 ~

28 June 2008 - King & Pat got married on this day. It was really a whole day event, which practically begans at 6.00am and ends at 12 midnight.

Well, we were part of the entourage (a.k.a "heng thais") for Kingston. 4 cars went to pick the bride at Brickhouse, Sea Park. And now I know why it was called a "brickhouse". Upon reaching, we found out that there were no gate at all ! Only a "prison-like" door, which makes it extremely hard for the "heng thais" to break through the door and kidnap Pat away. Wishful thinking, huh. Unfortunately, it didnt happened that way.

Okie, Part 2 coming up tomorrow !

Angie + Ron

(Picture courtesy of Justin @ Awie @ Bugau)

Congratulations to the newlyweds - Angie and Ron.

They looked splendid on Sat night. Me and Egbert only managed to attend the dinner at Federal Hotel. Food was superb, hosts were wonderful, bride and groom were amazing. Only setback was we were seated at Table 1, and our view was blocked by this pillar. Suggestion from Egbert - can civil engineers design a column / pillar transparent ? ;)

Seated together with us was Che Ros, Harry Justin @ Awie @ Bugau, Aleng (not me, k...), Fabian and Harold. Its good to meet up with everyone again. Our table must be the loudest.. Shy lor..

Too bad doesn't have any pics to show to everyone. Hubby tak tau guna camera N73. Keciannn... Anyway, congratulations once again to Angie and Ron. May your wedding be a happy and lasting union forever.

MAS - Flight Delay

Went back to Sabah last Thursday and came back last night... What a tiring journey. On Thursday, our flight at 1410 was cancelled and changed to 1500. Then, when we board the plane at 1500, there were some problem and the plane couldn't take off. Disembarked from the plane at 1600 and wait for the next plane at 1700. Luckily they gave us meal voucher to redeem at either Burger King or Asian Delights. So, we choosed Burger King. The queue was so long that by the time we got our meal, it is time for boarding, again !

What to do... We took our burger and fries to the plane. By the time we finish, we were so full that we can hardly take another bite of MAS food. And our trip was futher disturbed by these bunch of tourists, who were making so much noice on the plane. Like they have never been on a plane before..

Finally landed in KKIA at 2000. What a tiring journey. But at least I got one whole Fri to rest. Sat is my first journey to Kota Belud (KB). Why ? Coz Lora and Itol is celebrating their wedding there. I must say KB has a very nice view - full of paddy fields, with Mount Kinabalu at the back of the scenary. It is indeed charming.

Here are some of Itol and Lora's wedding photos :
