Happy Birthday To Nana

It's Nana's birthday on the 8th September. In fact, I was so afraid that I forgotten her birthday, I ended up wishing a Happy Belated Birthday. Well, you may think that I have indeed forgotten about it, except that I wished her on the 3rd September - which is still early.

Hehehehe... Ni la ni kerja shift. Hari apa pun da konpius.

What's Up With Little Daniel ?

Daniel is getting bigger and heavier now, though doc did say he is still underweight. Hehehehe, must be from the mother's gene. But daddy was skinny when he was small also.

Anyway, Daniel was fast in moving his hands and legs. He can turn over when he was only 3 months, sit up when he was only 5 months, stands up when he was 6 - 7 months and now he crawls like a bullet train. And he has this cute way of crawling. Just imagine him on 4 legs (no knees yeah), open wide a.k.a terkangkang and butt sticking up. Hehehe, sure funny ...

And he crawls all the way to the kitchen whenever he knows I will be there to cook for him porridge, or to make milk-milk for him. And the appliances he like most is the washing mashine, which I don't know why. And now, he knows that by putting his hand on the drawer handle and pulls it, voila, the drawer is open. I always have to stand in front of the drawer to prevent him from opening.

And boy, he so love porridge. I always cooked porridge for him now after he has this skin allergy called hives. Hives is harmless by the way, but it saddened me to see red patches on his body. So, I will have to avoid food, in fact most of the food I can't eat except vege and chicken or pork meat. No eggs, fish, seafood, legumes, berries, nuts, etc.... I think I am going nut but hey, for the sake of my baby, I will sacrifice... Ceh wah.... So, whenever I cooked porridge for him, I'll cook for myself as well. Satu kali kerja ma.. My mum taught me what to put in, and its damn nutritious you know - potato, carrot, meat, brocolli, sometimes spinach. So, Daniel is in fact eating a huge plate of porridge nowadays.

And he goes to sleep early too. Well, I guess its because he don't sleep much during the day, 1 hour here and there. So, at night, he will be breast-fed and he normally doze off in the middle of it, still suckling but eyes closed. And he sleeps till next morn. Seldom wakes up in the middle of the night, only occasionally.

Each moment with him is sure a joy. Little angel who knows how to kiss you on the lips if you puckered up to him, hehehehe, and raises his hand to say bye bye. I wanna teach him how to salam next time.

That's all on Daniel at the moment. Hehehehe, syg, dun be sad yeah.. We will see you soon. Muuaahhhh....

He is now in Yokohama, enjoying the romantic city, at least that is what he says here.... Wish I could be there but need to kumpul duit lor... Kalau tak cukup, what to do lor ....

Schumi Cancel His Plans

Looks like I will not be able to enjoy F1 this upcoming week. Schumi cancelled his plans to step in for Massa due to concerns on his neck injuries.

What to do.... Safety comes first....

The Return Of F1 Superhero

Yup - Michael Schumacher is returning to F1 racing.

It was actually Massa's injury that prompted Schumi to come back, since Ferrari will be left with only 1 driver. Massa was hit by an object that falls off from Rubens's car (which makes me wonder - Is Brawn's car not safe at all ? ) and had to undergo operation. He is now awake but doc rules out racing for the time being.

Naturally, and logically, Schumi was requested to fill-in as he is one of the best in Ferrari and perhaps in the whole F1.

Now the season should be more interesting, and I sure look forward to it ....

Go go go Schumi !!!!

Home Alone With Daniel For 3 Months

Yup... that will be the case for upcoming 3 months.

My syg is leaving for Japan next week and will only be back in November. Huhu... I am going to miss him so much... Usually I am the one going overseas most of the time. Now is my syg's turn.

I sure gonna miss him. Maybe if I have enough savings, I will go over to Japan. Cuti-cuti Japan ma .... Kekekeke...

Change In Work Routine

Following the succesfull launch of RazakSAT, there is a change now in my work routine. No longer I enjoy the benefit of working 8 - 5.

My work timing now is 7 am to 7pm, next day 7pm tp 7am, and off on the third day. Fourth day is back to 7am to 7pm. So, in total, I worked 60 hours every week instead of 40 hours. And I worked on Sat and Sun as well. You must be wondering if I do get any off days. Well, I do. In fact, every 3rd week of the month, I work morning shift (7am to 7pm) and I get off on Sat, Sun and Mon. Sounds cool huh ? But is much more tiring, as I get less than 6 hours of rest.

Wonder if there is any incentives for us that works on shift basis ?

Finally - RazakSAT Is Launched

After years and years of putting it off, finally RazakSAT blasted off from the ground on 3.35 UTC, 14th July 2009 from Omelek Island at Kwajelein Atoll using Falcon-1 rocket.

Now I truly understand what it feels like tobe able to see the satellite successfully launched into its orbit. And it is a special orbit indeed - the first satellite to ever orbit from this position - Near Equatorial Orbit. So this means, it passes over Malaysia and other equatorial countries more frequently compared to a sun-synchronous orbit.

Istanbul Trip

This is way too long to update on my last trip, but nevetheless, I shall do it...

Istanbul was certainly a great trip - one that I enjoyed much, coz not much pressure. Adalah sikit-sikit gabrah time want to present. Nasib baik my presentation is on Day 1. After presentation, enjoy sakan ...

The day when we arrived pun da start enjoy .... Kekekeke, we took our time to visit all the famous places like Tokapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market and its surrounding area. Best part is, all these places are within walking distance. No matter how near, by 5pm (Isttanbul time) we were already dragging our feet. We felt so tired that we dont have the energy to continue further. Can't blame us - we made a transit earlier at Dubai, and the seat in MAS wasnt really at all comforting. It was the old Airbus, and the business class seats was not like Boeing.

But we did enjoyed the first day. It was an eye opening trying to bargain our way at Grand Bazaar. The traders were all trying to be friendly, but we have learned that it was part of their way to get us stay at their shop and try to sell things to us. The same goes to traders at Spice Market. They go all out to attempt some friendly conversations. And most of the time - they start off with saying hello - be it in Mandarin, Japanese, Korean but never in BM. What you expect - 2 Chinse looking fellas walking around.

We did try and eat fresh fish sandwishes as well, though by the time we really get to eat the sandwiches, it was cold already. But delicious nevertheless.

We were also treated to a boat trip along the Bosphorous River. It was truly a magnificant view - on one side is the Eastern Turkey and the other side is the Europe Turkey. Luckily we were attending the conference. All participants of the conference were treated to a boat tour on the 1st day itself.

Rest of the days were spent in the Military Museum, attending conference. On the 2nd last day, we did walked around some more - along the Istikal Caddesi or Road if Independence. Bought more souvenirs (a.k.a Turkish delights) for family and friends. Hope our bag doesnt go over the limit of 20kg.

Unbelievably Long

Yes, it is unbelievably long (not even sure I spelled it correctly) since I last updated my blog. There are lots of things that I wanna share, but just couldnt find the will to type it out...

Tonight, I wanna post some updates - on myself, my life, my llittle Daniel, things that are going on around, things that facinates me, things that worries me ....

BEWARE OF ROAD BULLY WHO DRIVES (GREEN) AVANZA WRW 8402

Recently, The Star reported about a man in his 30's bashed up a pensioner of 72 years just because the pensioner honked him for swerving in so suddenly without using the indicator.

If any of you notice the above car - TOYOTA AVANZA (Green) WRW 8402, go straight to the police station and report. Do not engage with the pscyhopathic driver yourself.

The parents apparently never taught this guy how to treat people who is elder than him. Maybe this guy has some mental problem. Better send him to Tanjung Rambutan for admission.

A Simple But Wonderful Prayer

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day,
I thank You for my being able to seeand to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You area forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.

Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
And give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.

Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak...
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.

I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who don't know You intimately.
I pray for those that will delete this without sharing it with others.
I pray for those that don't believe.

But I thank You that I believe that God changes people and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers.
For each and every family member in their households.

I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes;
that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.

Istanbul, Here I Come !!!!!

Yippie... Leaving for Istanbul next Tues night to present a paper in a conference - Recent Advances in Space Technologies 2009.

Had been browsing the net for tourists attraction in Istanbul. Can't wait to visit The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, The Grand Bazaar, Hippodrome, Yerebatan Saray, Topkapi and Istikal Caddesi (which is very near to our hotel and conference area - Taksim Square)

Will blog more after I come back .... Heheheheh..

Wonder how Daniel will fare during my absence. Daddy of course cannot give him fresh 'milk milk'... Ummm, hope Egbert will be ok. I will be gone for 6 long days... Huhuhuhu, pooor little Daniel ....

Finally ....

After months of thinking and contemplating, I finally submitted my resignation letter to the priest.

I am now announcing that I am no longer the Head of Liturgy and PPC Secretary.

WHat a relieve I now felt. Now, I can serve the church with more heart - a lighter heart.

Ironically, it was Fr David Reagan's homily that prompted me to firmly made up my mind. He said, we as Catholics are unique people. We don't go around evangelizing to people and asking them to join Catholic Church. But evangelization begins at home, with our family. The love we share with each other, is the love of Christ. I truly believe that.

So, when I reflect back my life ever since the job was 'placed' unto me, I seem to 'lose a bit' of my family.

I need to choose - between the post and my family. I choose my family. In fact, I should have realize - my family has always been my first choice. No doubt about that. In one organization, you cannot have two 'heads'. And the Bible tells us that husbands are like Christ, they are the head of the family. Wives are like the church, they are the hands and feets of Christ. They should follow the husbands.

Well, tata to heartache. I will now serve the church from the back, and Daniel can have his mommy full-time now... Heheheheh...
