That is the consequences to be paid by us, the normal folks...
When the price of petrol was increase 70 cents earlier, ALL the price of goods increase. Example, Maggi Tom Yam used to be RM3.50, but since June, it is now RM 4.50. And mind you, though the price of petrol has gone down, I have yet to see the price of Maggi Tom Yam going down. And that is hypermarket's selling price.
Of course, nobody likes to lower down the prices once it has gone up.
Moral of the story: Don't ever make a sharp increase in the petrol price for it affects everything else. Now, even when you lower it down, it doesn't mean that the rest will follow. In the end, is the consumers who bear the cost.

ramai orang cakap, pemimpin kita dah tersilap langkah bila naikkan harga petrol mendadak...kenapa tak pandai sgt ke?..yg dapat kesan kita rakyat marhaein ni..
last 2 weeks beli mee sup, harga dipapar RM3.50,bila nak byr penjual ckp RM4.50 sbb harga petrol naik..saya jwp:"bila nak turun, harga petrol dah turun"..si penjual senyap je..
tu la last sy beli makanan kat warung..malas dah..busan harga mahal melampau..
Betul, betul... Bila harga petrol naik mendadak, yg lain ambil kesempatan utk naik. Skrg bila da turun, bukannya dia orang nak turunkan harga barang pun. Byk alasan butul dia urang. Kerajaan pulak senang nak cakap, "Kita tak ada hak nak minta peniaga turunkan harga barang... "

our brilliant future PM said, they will set up a floor price for petrol because according to him, its not good to the economy if the petrol price keep drooping in short time.
i guess when they decide to increase the petrol price by 70cents, they think its good for the economy.
Cant understand those flers "up" there. I thought they were chosen because they championed the cause of us normal folks.. Looks like they championed for themselves only.
Bukannya dia orang bayar minyak, tol, maggi, beras, semua pun ...
