Outstation ... Again ....
Fetch him to the airport this morn since no driver came and pick him up. Tu pun nasib baik sia kemas baju-baju dia semalam oh, lepas balik dari JB. Kalu dia tia check tiket this morn, miss flight mungkin suda tu. Ek expect the flight to be 1845 ETD, tau-tau is 0900 ETD.
So, I will be alone sampai hari empat ni ... Kecian oh ....
I miss my syg suda ...
New Dawn At Last ... Really ?
But is it really's gonna be without her ?
After lunch, I found out that she was actually in the radome (radome is a golf-ball look alike that is used to housed the antenna), as a contractor for the system. She now works as a freelancer, and suprisingly, she was approached by our current contractor to maintain the system. So, she is still gonna be around.
Does it gonna affect me much ? I doubt it. I am just thinking that whatever she taught us last time, she didn't do it herself. Work wasn't passed down properly, everything issue was left hanging, keys and pass was not returned. Ummm, I bet she would still be able to control at least the groundstation, if not the whole centre, through her apprentices.
We shall see ...
GIFT 20th Anniversary .... Outcome ...
Our journey was un-eventful. Apart from making 2 stops, there wasn't much that happens (except how my blouse turned brown, kekekeke). Ek wasn't driving very fast so it actually took us 4 hours to reach Tmn U (he was drving at 100km/h).
When we reached Tmn U, one thing that is still certain is that the road will always have pot holes here and there. We stopped at Rose Cottage first to booked our rooms, before heading towards Old Ong Lai at Kemuliaan for the chicken rice. There, we met up with Andy, Raphl, Julian, Brian, Anthony, Vivian, Harold, Fabian, Ivan, Nick, Cath and Eirin. The chicken rice wasn't as nice as before (probable due to new owner) but the fried keuy teow were still the best.
The rest are staying at U Hotel (it is a new hotel and is next to Appolo). We will be having mass earlier at 5.30pm in SCC, so there is gonna be music practice at 4pm. I missed singing at the choir. :( Brian will be playing the keyboard. Yippie! Brian is a d**n good keyboardist. It is certainly nice to be back in SCC - meeting up Fr Jojo, un David, un Vincent. Unfortunately, juniors semua tak kenal lor....
The highlight of this trip is of course the GIFT 20th Anniversary Dinner, held at Tmn U SPorts Complex. We were really looking forward to this.
Sad to say, I was kinda dissapointed with the way they organized the dinner. Why ? Let me point it out (and this is my feelings alone, does not represent everyone):
- The MC (who is speaking in English) must be d*mn nervous. It's ok if his english is bad, but the way he speaks was TOO KASAR, almost to the point, rude ... And he is not making every guests at ease. I felt very tense listening to him, very jumpy and very boring.
- The presentations (some of it) was done just for the sake of doing it. Some is even hard to comprehand its meaning.
- Photos presented should include GIFT alumni from the beginning (or as early as possible). Why arent people like Andy, Kingston, Brian, Desmond, Abeth Fung, Alex Anting (the one that created the song - KUPA), Herman, Jocelyn, Evelyn, Marciana and all other GIFT members shown in slide ? Miss President has mentioned, if there is no alumni, there will not be 20th anniversary.
- Should take the opportunity to let the juniors know who are the alumni.
- KUPA should be sung by all GIFT members, not by the committee alone (not good) - it is the song that brings us all together. Nasib Harold stood up and brought all the alumni to sing along...
- Publicity was very bad. Last minute it was made known that donations are needed.
- Most important was that - where is the feeling of togetherness ? GIFT - Growing In Faith Together ???
Again, this is purely my own feelings. If I have offended any of you, I am truly sorry and I apologize. Will upload the pictures soon. Waiting for the sources.... ;)
Anyway, it has happenned. Maybe I am getting old. This could be the "new way to do things, maybe." More of digital presentations, rather than physical presentations. But I kinda wish that there are still some old elements, like CindyEgbert and "her" gang. But one thing I wanna congratulate was the superb animation of GIFT being a bud that blossoms into a huge, strong tree. That is who we are - GIFTers !
GIFT will still remain in my heart. Till the next anniversay then !

GIFT 20th Anniversary
Let's bring back some memories, shall we?
I first got to know GIFT while I was studying in UTMKL. GIFT is actually an "underground" catholic student society, aim to bring together catholic students studying in university. While I was in UTMKL kan, GIFT and IK (and IK is a registered body with the university) seems to be one, which was not suprising coz kami sikit saja ma .. Catholic ka non-catholic ka, kami join saja ni ... Kekekeke...
When I continued my degree in UTM Skudai, there I realized that there is a vast difference between the registered Christian society group and GIFT. I chose to join GIFT, and I never regretted making that choice. I am proud to say that I am a GIFTer ! Yahoo !!!!
GIFT brought back lots of sweet memories for me which I dun think will be enough to write it all down here. Sufficient to say, GIFT thought me alot on faith, friends, commitments, management and responsibility.
Tomorrow, we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary at Tmn U Sports Complex. Me and Ek will be driving down tomorrow morn and Victoria is coming with us. Harold will be going as well, and so is Aning and Loe. Not very sure about other seniors though. The last time we went down to visit them (to pass the wedding cards actually) was somewhere in October, just before I left for training in France.
Looking forward to this event. Will update more later ... Ciao ...

3 More Days ..
Well, officially my boss will resign on the 28th March 2008, that is 3 more days from today.
She did not report for work after 13th March (her holiday ended that day) and people were wondering where is she ? Me ? I wonder too, but frankly speaking, I couldn't care less.
I am not sure if she is coming in the very last day. First I thought of taking that day off, then what the heck, why should I take a day off to avoid her. Not that I have done anything wrong also, kan. I should even look straight into her eyes.
The apprentices are still the same, blaming everyone who had not stood up for the boss in that meeting with the DDG. I? I stood up for my boss, coz I was thinking, she is after all my boss and I didn't know that she actually put the blame on me. Now that I have known, will I still stood up for her? I am not sure.
I got to know that she came in last Sat to entertain a group of visitors from UTEM. Funny part was, the apprentice only asked those who had stood up (a.k.a not spoken a word in the meeting / boss find no issue with) to come on that Sat. The rest of us ? She didn't even have the courtesy to inform us that there's gonna be a visit from who-and-who. Another show of unprofessional and emotional apprentice and boss. Not that I wanna be there also. Got better things to do at church since it was Holy Saturday.
Looking forward to 1st April 2008. Gambate gambate !!!
Happy Birthday Abeth
Today is her birthday - "Happy Birthday Beth ... "
May God showered His abundant blessings upon you forever.

Rejoice ! Rejoice ! Alleiuia !
Ferrari Won ... Yeah Yeah ...
Ferrari won, of course... Kimi Raikonnen, dubbed the Iceman, won the Sepang F1 grand prix leaving behind Robert Kubica (BMW Sauber) a whopping 19.5s. Now, that's the man that does his talking on the circuit, unlike so not-so-new-rookie that seems to be getting a bigger head now. He definately needs to watch out, else he wouldnt even be able to go through a normal door. He only managed a 5th position, after being stuck behind Mark Webber for almost 50 laps, and behind Jarno Trulli for the final 3-4 laps. Haha, serves you right !
Felipe Massa didn't fare too well. Was the leading the way until the first pit stop which saw Kimi came out just nicely in front of him. And suddenly when Ferrari was looking much into a 1-2 win, Massa just spinned out and ended his day sitting on the gravel. What a sad thing. I was looking forward to see Ferrari 1-2.
Here is to the man who made my day proud. Kekekeke ...
Kimi Raikonnen winning the Malaysia Grand Prix, ahead of BMW Sauber Robert Kubica and McLaren Heikki Kovailenen

Good Friday
Christ gave up His life so that we can have new life. He said, "Take this body, which will be given up for you." He is our Saviour and our God.
Went for mass yesterday and I was still searching within myself. I felt very difficult to let go have the hatred I bore on those people who had accused me of sending that "surat layang". In fact, they have now come up with a new conclusion - that the letter was written by more than 1 person.
Christ's commandment - "Love one another as I have love you" seems so difficult to achieve. I can't even stand them now, I lost al the respects I have had for them. How to love them ???????
What a conflict. Arggghhh .......
Please pray for me that I will be able to "Forgive those who sinned against us".

Not Dissapointed Anymore ....
Kinda funny title, but yeah, it is a conclusion.
Ek brought me to Banting last night, upon returning from work. Me? Was practically sticking out my head to see whether he has arrived home or not. And when he did ... Wow, like I kena jackpot or something. Kekekeke... I was clapping my hands happily.
I noticed he was rather tired, but still he accompanied me. Rather selfish of me, huh? Initially, we bought 3 kain and then, went to one more shop. Saw one which was a beauty, but kinda expensive. Cost about RM79.00 for that 4 meter and me, being a stingypot decided to forego that. But Ek decided to negotiate with the lady for a lower price. In the end, we bought it for RM40. Good bargain huh ? Thanks to my hubby.
It didnt take us very long to do the shopping. I dun have the heart to walk long since seeing him so tired. We made a quick stop at Julius's house to give his two elder daughters a gift in lieu of the upcoming baptism. Yup, we are the godparents. Nothing much, just bought them white dress for them to wear.
Came back home and had our dinner. Gastric found Ek earlier and I felt so bad and sad making him go all the way to Banting without dinner first (dinner not raedy yet that time). He had quite an uncomforatble dinner + tiredness, he soon doze off in the living hall till next morn.
Sorry syg .... I felt soooo guilty. A vow to myself, must be considerate at all times especially to my hubby.

Dissapointed
It's me, dissapointed.... Of what, some may ask?
Well, dissapointed of trivial things, embarrased to even mention it here. Must be the hormones that is planning to turn me into an emotional person. Me and Ek planned to go shopping for kain yesterday night, after returning from Tanjung Malim. I was really looking forward to that. Want to change the way I am going to work from now on. To be more ladylike.. kekekeke...
OK, back to my disspointment. Approaching Jln Kebun, we saw that the cloud is black in color, indicating that rain might fall. Ek said that Banting will be raining. I was upset when I heard that, so I said, "We wont know Banting is raining or not. If it is raining then dun have to go lor... " I knew my voice sounded hurt, but hey, I was dissapointed, k.
Approaching Jenjarom, the rain has started heavier. With a heavy heart, I said, "Tia payah la pi. Balik rumah saja la.." I wanted to go, but in the end, I thought of others who have to be dragged along with me in the rain and I dun feel nice about that. There and then, my disspointed level reaches max.
Came home, dun wanna talk to Ek. Still dissapointed with the way things happen. It was always like that. If I really wanted to go somewhere, I will ended up not going. Ek promised me today we will go and buy. Lets just hope that its really today. Else, I might ended up buying alone. Kesian him... He thought I was angry with him... Last2, he pun merajuk... Kecian... Luckily, we patched up fast. :) I sayang my hubby a lot leh, kecian him, because of my hormones, he pun terasa.
Well, blame it on the hormones... Always trying to wreck things. Must have more control on my hormones from now on ..
Weekend At Tanjung Malim
Went up to Tanjung Malim to Obot's house. What was the occasion? Well, it is Fredelex one month's old. And since we have not seen the baby yet, its high time that we go. After all, a weekend in Tanjung Malim will definately be the most relaxing one.
The baby boy is cute, and bore a little resemblence to his elder bro, Frederick. While Frederick is blessed with huge round eyes, Fredelex has rather tiny eyes. But he does do a lot of "stretch-up" a.k.a "mengeliat"... Hehehe, it's cute.
As usual, we had B.B.Q the whole day. Stuff myself till I can walk no more. Hehehe... Went to bed in the afternoon only to wake up 2 hours later and continue eating. God must be having fits with me. Lent season and here I am, gorging up myself with food. Well, they said, dun waste food.
Sunday was an outing day for us. Obot brought us to this place that has a mini waterfall. When I said mini, it wasn't even 1m high. Who cares, water is cold and refreshing ....
Can't wait to have another outing. Outing to anywhere with my hubby will be wonderful. :)

Success!!!
Me and Asni able to burn the program into the microcontroller using CrossStudio for MSP430. It is not really that fun to do programming for a microcontroller. Gotton so used to developing systems with high-level language and now, is back to bits, and clock and timer and etc...
Now, need to understand what the program is all about, and how to rewrite the program to suit our onboard computer for our CubeSat project.

Easter Is Coming
Life At Work Now ...
The "konco-konco" hardly talking to rest of us now. Me especially, I guessed, since they accused me of being the author. But God knows better.
Unprofessional At All....
- I was shouted at for applying 6-days of leave during Chinese New Year. Reason given: I took too much leave for my wedding (I actually took only 10 days for my wedding from 19 Dec till 5 Jan). She counted total days that I have taken for the whole year of 2007 (which was around 20 days and I still have a balance of 63 days in the year of 2008). She does not allowed me to take 6 days, gave me two options: a) to give her a reason on why I should allowed to have 6 days leave, or b) revised my application. I told her that I had actually bought the honeymoon package, that was why I needed the holidays, but instead, she said, "I don't care. Who asked you to go and buy without asking for approval?"
- I got so upset, the entire week I couldn't focus. I went back to her on Fri and requested for 4 1/2 days. I decided that I will revised my application and come to work still on the CNY Eve and on the following Mon for half day since I will be leaving in the evening. Thank God she agreed.
- Was given the task to design and build a Cubesat. But since hasn't decided on mission yet, so entire group was broken into smaller groups. Me and my colleague was looking at Error Detection and Correction. When presented, got bombarded by her. I accepted the critism, and thought I didn't do good enough. Finally, we settled our mission. Did a few more discussion, concentrating on Onboard Data Handling and off I go for my CNY break.
- CNY went on well, really enjoyed my time, with my husband ... Even got a CNY message from her, which I thought, "OK, everything should be well again."
- Came back on Mon for a while, before flying off to Bali. Asked her permission to leave early which she said, "OK."
- Came back from Bali and went to work on Mon as usual. Concentrating on the project.
- Came to Fri, approached one of her apprentice (orang kanan boss) on some special protocol and telecommand channels. Both questions were not answered, at the same time, was giving me this look and saying "I don't understand what you are saying. That is your job, not mine." I got the shock of my life, hearing what she said and was thinking, "What happened? Aren't we in the same group? Isn't that the same as what you taught me last time? What kind of attitude is that? Real B***H!"
- Came to work on Sat on Sun as well, and when on Sun, we each presented our slides (as a preparation) she doesn't even look at me while answering my questions. I didn't know what happened so I continue trying to be nice.
- Mon was a disaster. I presented my subsystem, the boss didn't even said a single word. Earlier, she mentioned to the leader of the project that my report was "BAD, TERRIBLE" and she further said that I copied entirely from one of the example. I felt hurt, but I know I didn't do anything like that, so I wasn't afraid at all. Berani kerana benar !
- Since she didn't gave any comment at all, I decided to go and see her but she replied "Nope, I am busy." She refused to see me! I was so upset .... Why? Why did she hate me ? Was it because of the 6 days holiday that I wanted to take ?
- Finally - I knew the answer. There was a "Surat Layang" which was sent to Biro Pengaduan Awam, JPA, KSN, MOSTI saying how she misuse her power, providing a very uncondusive place to work, asking her staff to do high-risk job, etc.... And she told a few staffs that I was the one who wrote that surat layang...
Bottom line ??? She tendered in her resignation letter - after our HR personnel informed her that Deputy Director General wanted to have a meeting with all the staff, without her being present. Said it was a bruise to her dignity and therefore, she resigned.
Ironic part was that, I didn't even know about the letter until after she announced her resignation and DDG is coming over to our office. Then only, someone good hearted enough to tell me that there is actually this letter, and she accused me of writing that letter.
How do I feel now ? I guessed in a way my hurt when deeper than I thought. I lost all my respect for her, and I find it extremely difficult to forgive her and her "konco-konco" - who blindly followed whatever crap she said without even the guts to come and approach me to clarify things up. She is bias, unprofessional, emotional and irrational ...
3 years of being under her - one does wonder how many galens of water I have shed over whatever she said. No more now... Hopefully things will be brighter.
Bali - A Land of Mystic and Charm
Ummm, yum yum ... Or was that my stomach saying 'Yes' to the wonderful dinner that we had at Hotel Diwangkara Holiday Villa, Sanur Beach, Bali ? Can't believe how starving we were. Spent about RPH 300,000.00 just for a dinner alone. Wow....
Yup, that was where we stayed during our honeymoon trip to Bali. It was an enjoyable moment, romantic and fun.. Not to mention an eye opener, looking at the way the Balinese people live.
Went to look at the Barong Dance, Kecak dance, Fire Dance, went up to Mount Batur (one of the volcanoes that is still active), Kuta, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, and many other places. They said a picture is worth a thousand words ... So, let these pics to the talking .... (Though I still have to type it out)
View in front of our room - We have a swimming pool for ourselves. Cool or not?
Taken at Sanur Beach
Look at the waves
This was where we stayed - Wonderful hotel, owned by a Malaysian, service was excellent, deco was beautiful, all in all, very satisfied.
A kiss - From me to you
With a beautiful Balinese lady
The Barong Dance
On our way to look at some 'Batik' handicrafts. Who said Batik is made in Malaysia alone?
At the entrance of Batik handicrafts centre.
Very nice paintings. Bought one as a remembrance.
This is the famous rice terrace in Bali a.k.a 'Padi Huma' in Malaysia, kot?
We finally arrived at Mount Batur. Isn't it breathtaking? It erupted few years back, that is why the soil is black in color.
We went to Uluwatu to watch sunset as well as Kecak and Fire Dance. The view was fantastic. Soooooo very romantic oh ... ;)
This is Kecak Dance ... The sounds that they made was something like this "Cak... KeCak... Cak... "
And this is the Fire Dance ...
Later, we went to Jimbaran to eat seafood. Never in my life had I saw such a BIGGGGGGG crab. And is cheap, cost only about RM41 for a 1.2 kg. We also ordered Garapu and Mussels... Yummy yummy .... I wanna eat again .... *Huhuhu*
WEDDING - 22, 29 and 30 DEC 2007
A big thank you to those who have attended our wedding, both in Klang and in Penampang. Thank you and God bless you all.
